Basic Show Information
For the 2025 year, we will keep our show on its two-month cycle, and the show will remain free to our members. Most shows will be judged, but there will be a few that will be members voted on. This is an open show for contemporary and vintage models alike.
Photo show rules
-
Exhibitors may enter 4-single model photos unless otherwise specified.
-
Entries must be clear and crisp and must be exhibitor originals, or they will be disqualified.
-
Entries must be color and breed accurate, and anatomically correct to the model. Exemption: OF Portrait Models. (Example: Suzanne Fielder's Ideal American Quarter Horse. None have male genitalia, but Breyer has used this mold primarily as portrait models for geldings and stallions. Any model on this mold could be listed as any gender.)
-
All entries must be direct side view, or angled side view only. No direct front, top, bottom, or rear angles unless otherwise specified. These will be disqualified.
-
Exhibitors may enter a particular model in multiple classes if that model fits into those classes. Yes, exhibitors can re-enter winning models from the previous show.
-
Entrant Information must be included with each entry: Name, Breed, Color, Pattern if applicable, gender, finish, brand, and exhibitor.
Judging, Placings,
Judging is the hardest part of the show, and our system is as follows: exhibitors may enter 4 photos, the best photo from each exhibitor is chosen and then they are placed accordingly from 1st place to 15th place, depending on several entries. Double Placing: or an exhibitor having two entries place, will only happen if there are not enough entries to place to 15th place. Honorable mention will be only if we have more exhibitors enter than we have places.
Special awards
Grand Champion and Reserve Champion models will be the 1st and 2nd place entries from each class. Best in Show will be chosen by the administration team from the Grand Champions of the show.
Prizes: Downloadable Ribbons plus a printable certificate for our Best in Show.
Our year-end award, “Horse of the Year”, will be a member-voted poll from our Best in Show winners. The winner will receive a virtual rosette, certificate, and virtual plaque.
TMSPS Vintage Club
The TMSPS Vintage Club is the first sister club started on Faceback in the spring of 2023. 2025 will mark year 2 for TMSPS Vintage Club. It is an open show and is free for all members.

Basic Information
Photo Show Rules
-
Exhibitors may enter 3-single model entries unless stated otherwise
-
Entries must be clear and crisp and must be exhibitor originals. No AI, photo manipulation, or using scanned/photos of paper photographs. This will be a cause for disqualification, multiple violations will result in either suspension or removal from the group.
-
Photo Manipulation: Replacing backgrounds, adding objects, etc. Adjusting lighting and smoothing out edges and seams will not be considered photo manipulation.
-
-
Entries must be breed and color accurate; as well as anatomically correct to the model. (Exemption for anatomical correctness is portrait models such as the Suzanne Fielder Ideal American Quarter Horse Mold. No male genitalia are on any model on this mold, but the Breyer Company most often used it to portray geldings and stallions, therefore any one of 3 naturally occurring sexes may be assigned to this mold, and other molds that are in a similar status with their respective makers.) Entries that do not meet this rule will be disqualified.
-
Angles: Either the left or right side of all entries must be visible in the entry, this means that direct top, bottom, front, and rear-view angles are strictly prohibited.
-
Entering one model in multiple classes is not permitted, as this is a performance class show.
-
Custom models are not permitted, this is an original finished model show only. All brands and sizes of models are welcome. Exemption: Anything goes classes-which will be rare.
-
Tack is required. Dolls, props, and background are highly encouraged, but not a prerequisite. Entries that do use these items will place higher than entries without.
-
Models, tack, dolls, props, and other items used for entries must be in good condition. The tack must fit properly on the model; dolls must be seated properly with reins and hands in the correct positions. All props and equipment must also be in the correct position. An entry will not be disqualified if they do not completely meet this rule; however, it will either place lower or will not place, based on the number of other entries.
Judging and Places
Exhibitors may enter 3 photos per class. The best photo of those three will be chosen by our judges, and then photos will be placed accordingly from 1st to 15th place, depending on the number of exhibitors who have entered. Double Placing: or an exhibitor having two entries place, will only happen if there are not enough entries to place to 15th place. Honorable mention will be only if we have more exhibitors enter than we have places.
Sportsmanship
If you have a question about the placings, please feel free to reach out to the judges via messenger. We expect all exhibitors to display good sportsmanship regarding our competitions. Arguing with the judges is an automatic disqualification in the classes in question.
